Fort Myers to Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor fishing - Fall is my favorite time of year to fish for a number of reasons. First of all, the water is much less crowded than the spring or summer. Secondly, all species are in season and all species are usually biting. During the late summer and early fa more...

I'm so grateful to see the lower temperatures, and humidity.

Pine Island Sound is smoking when wind is down - It doesn't get much better than Pine Island Sound this time of year. Falling water temps have been the key to some great fishing. What to look for or what you must try to find.
Bands of Birds: Under these birds is a game fish buffet. Trout (Big) M more...

Fishing is getting better/Weather is not - If you don't mind dodging bolts of light and driving rain (seemingly daily) SW FL is the place to be. We are caught in a horrible weather pattern.
Snook: Bite is improving but only on the best tides. The beaches are still producing great fish.

SW FL prospects improving - Snook Season came in with somewhat of a whimper.
Several tournaments (Mac Flats) had low numbers.
One dynamic effecting the snook fishing is the current moon phase. Most fish are dining under the moonlight and taking a seista during the day.

GiddyUp has great day in Pine Island Sound - From 6AM to 9AM things were smokin'!!! Trout, Redfish, and hold on to your collective ass, TARPON. Check this out. We had a 12 trout get attacked by a 60LB Tarpon. I reached over my angler and open the bail AS SOON AS I SAW the tarpon swallow.

Summer fishing report Forty Myers and Boca Grande - I'm sorry that I haven't been able to keep up on my fishing reports this summer. But, after spending all day on the water in 95 degree heat, getting on the computer has been a high priority.
Tarpon: For the past three months I spent most of my more...
