Large Cobia and Gag Grouper

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

We hooked a 50 lb. Cobia and the battle was on. After circling the boat 3 times, we pulled anchor and finally got him after about 40 mins.
Many other smaller keeper Cobias. Gag Grouper have been in close as well as the wrecks. Goliath Grouper on nearly every trip. Permit and large Kingfish have been on the wrecks and ledges.
Huge schools of Spanish Mackerel all over chasing baitfish. Nice Red Drum and Trout in the bays.

Great time as our waters cool. Huge Sheepshead willbe spawning on our nearshore reefs, great fish fry. Cobias will continue thier migration.
Triple Tails will be found on the crab trap markers. Kingfish and Bonita will be coming in closer to shore.Bull Redfish will also be on the prowl.
