Dodging Lightning Strikes in SW FL is not my idea

Capt. John GiddyUp-Bunch

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

I'm back in Maryland. My 13 days in SW FL sucked. My idea of fun is not going out for bait, picking up customers, worrying about their safety and mine, and taking them back to the ramp out of safety concerns.

There were several instructional charters I ran to a great deal of success. This concept is pretty cool. We take your boat, ect and I say "Impress me" In other words, take me fishing. I want to see how you get bait, how you throw the net, why you fish where you do (explain it to me) and HOW YOU RIG AND TIE KNOTS

We had some good days but all in all I'll be so happy when mid-Sept finally arrives. SW FL is not the place to be in July or August.

A fair amount of redfish and trout. A few snook. Overall, the weather was scary. I'll be back in SW FL on Sept 10th. Until then I'll be hanging in gorgeous Oxford, Md with my new wife. "GiddyUp"
