The fish are happy with the warm temps and so are the anglers. Since the water is warming it's pushing the fish out in the middle parts of Estero Bay. Look for trout on the incoming tide on the grass flats in 2-4ft of water using a cork with live shrimp. The redfishing has picked up around deep shorelines using cut ladyfish and shrimp.

The nearshore wrecks off Ft. Myers Beach are producing great action with sheepshead. To entice these fish use 30# flurocarbon leader with a 3/8 jighead with shrimp. These structures are also holding snapper, flounder, mackeral, jacks and some nice catch and release gag grouper.

I specialize in light tackle saltwater fishing in the pristine backbays and nearshore wrecks of Southwest Florida. Whether we're targeting snook, redfish, or trout in the backbays or cobia, permit, shark, grouper, or tarpon on the wrecks. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, i will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience. Kids are always welcomed.
