Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather here is outstanding. Low 80's as our highs and low 60's as our lows. The fishing just gets better and better as the water temps starts to creep up in the high 70's. My clients are very busy fishing the shallow water wrecks catching a variety of fish. Cobia, grouper, sheepshead, mackeral and pompano are just to name a few. Sheepshead are biting really good and they are tasty on the dinner table. Cobia are hanging around these structures but most are to small. Choice of bait is live shrimp and thread herring.

The back water fishing is hit or miss. The water clariety has been murky a few days. Look for the cleaner water and this is where you'll find redfish, trout and snook. Live bait or chunk ladyfish will entice these fish. If your fishing a chunk bait be patient working an area so they can pick up the scent.
