Grouper Trolling has been exceptional until Weather on 12/30

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

I received an email from a Dude yesterday about my fishing reports. This pompous little JERK (Vern) accused me of "having a bad attitude." Telling the truth is not a function of attitude Vern. I will not hawk for a freakin' charter based on embellishing some BS Fishing Report that brings into question my integrity. In other words Vern, go find a Captain who has roses growing 365-24-7. Take the roses, assume the position, and shove all the BS where the sun fails to shine. I once refused to shake the hand of Oliver North because he raised his hand and swore an oath to tell the truth in my USMC uniform. He lied under oath. I have zero toleration for LIARS Vern. Dude, simply divorce me. If you see my report don't read it. OK?

Red Grouper in 28FT of water of Sanibel? Keeping with a no BS position, I caught my first Red Grouper after 7 years in Florida. The Ms GiddyUp does not go "OFFSHORE". I am strictly "NEARSHORE and INSHORE". I have lost nothing "OFFSHORE". Anyway. I couldn't believe scoring my first keeper Red Grouper no more than 3 miles from shore. Water temps in the AM were 56 and by 11AM moved to 64. Lures (+25's) in orange and pink have worked best in the AM. I especially like the colors of the MirrOlure 111MR series.

After about 11AM and the sun lights up the water column, I love the SDRB600-6H Manns. This lure is tough to find. I purchased 40 of them. You have gold if you find them (pls buy extras for me). Anyway, the new lure that replaces it is still called the "Grn Holo Jumping Mullet" but it is textured.

For the first time in 3 years our grouper trolling inshore and nearshore is on-fire. Off Bunche Beach, people are catching keeped grouper in 6FT of water. Gas prices have dropped so people can enjoy fishing again.

Weather has moved in today. My next trip is Dec 2. Tripletail have been increasing in size and numbers. 12 gallons of gas was 24.00 yesterday (hauling my own cans) and 2 months ago it was North of 50.00

Life is good and the fishing has been outstanding lately. One final thing. Screw you Vern. GiddyUp!
