The fishing all around has been hot and cold due to the fronts. When the water cleans up and settles down the shallow water wrecks are producing cobia, grouper and a few sheepshead are lingering around. This time of the year you'll see the cobia start to show up in numbers and will get better for the next two months. Live pinfish, thread herring and artificial eels will entice the bite. Make sure to work the whole water column.

Fishing the backbays look for clean water, good moving tides and this is where you'll find your snook and redfish. The fish are moving out to the middle parts of the bay and they are hungry. Live whitebait, shrimp and chunk ladyfish using a popping cork or a freelined bait will get it done.

I specialize in light tackle saltwater fishing in the pristine backbays and nearshore wrecks of Southwest Florida. Whether we're targeting snook, redfish, or trout in the backbays or cobia, permit, shark, grouper, or tarpon on the wrecks. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, i will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience. Kids are always welcomed.
