Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

There's a variety of species being caught on the shallow water wrecks off Ft. Myers beach. Cobia, Grouper, snapper, trout, flounder and permit just to name a few. Pinfish is the go to bait and you can cast net them on a healthy grass flat. For the permit crabs work best with 30# flourocarbon leader and a 2/0 circle hook.

The back bay water temps is 91 degrees so get out there early to find your fish. We're catching our fish before 10am. Again pinfish is the choice of bait for redfish and snook. Freeline or a popping cork set up will get you tight.
