Ft. Myers - Offshore

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Mack Attack!

Greetings;

The best way I can describe the fishing around our area for the last two weeks in a single word would be "action". Nearly nonstop action is available right now and it's not hard to find. On a few of my charters my clients have asked to pull away or try something different just to get a rest this past week!

I get quite a few half day trips this time of year. Its a great way to enjoy great fishing. Our half day is five hours, and back at the dock at noon. This plan requires that we get into some fish rather quickly. Thankfully that has been no problem lately.

Spanish and king mackerel are filling our fish box every day. Sight fishing with spoons & flies brings all he action anyone could ask for.

Further offshore the hard bottom is producing some nice grouper and snapper. Goliath grouper, are biting on wrecks, and heavy structures.
