Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing report for the week ending 6/12/2011

Sharks and tarpon are still showing off the beaches of sanibel and captiva, there seems to be a sign that a lot of the tarpon may be moving more north in recent days.

Snook, mackerel and trout are making there moves to the beaches and passes for the summer.

Still stuck with a bait hatch that was two weeks ago bait has been a real adventure at times, there are tons of little net snaggers to fowl your cast net.

Mackerel have prvided some fun action just find the schools of small bait, get near them and chum heavily.

With hot water and air temps and tons of grass in the bay shark fishing will be the way to go in the next few weeks.
