Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

As the winds persist in driving Guides nuts in SW FL, our tarpon season is finally in full swing. 3 of the past 5 days have yielded incredible results. Big Tarpon, Mediums (100-140), and smalls.
The best day was last Friday. 9 fish went in the air and we water released 5. If you want a Guide who will lip gaff a big tarpon and drag it on the boat for a picture I ain't him. All GiddyUp Charters observe extraordinary care per all fish releases.
On Sunday, a long time charter customer from the UK, Jonathan Tipples brought his fine son along for a go with our tarpon. Almost immediately Robert Tipples jumped a 90LB. The romance was on the brief side but much is often learned from a brief fling. The second tarpon was over 100LB and had to have gone airborne 7-8 times. This extended romance was ended via a wicked tail whip.
Monday AM was absolutely on fire. We went 5 for 9 within a period of 4 hours. First hookup was 0700. Bait is painfully easy to catch at the Sanibel Causeway.
Fort Myers Fishing Forecast:

Tarpon should stay hot and heavy
