Tarpon and Snook on the Gulf Beaches

Capt. Ron Kowalyk
August 21, 2014
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

There are plenty of tarpon off Sanibel, easy pickin's when they in the mood to eat. We'll have to spend some time Sabbiki rigging for big baits since the threads and pins are off the beaches in cooler haunts.
Snook are plentiful as well in the sloughs just a few yards off the beach at Bowmans beach and around Redfish Pass. Be ready to deal with the heat, plenty of H20 and we've got a nice Tee top. Early starts are advised 7 am is about first light now. If we're luck we may spot some cobia while we're bait fishing, we'll keep a live pin out on a float. Cappy Ron Kowalyk 239-267-9312

Fort Myers Fishing Forecast:
