Thursday Night will tell a big story. Will our Fishery survive?

Capt. John GiddyUp-Bunch

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

SW FL will face a huge test of our fishery on Thursday Night. Water temperatures are driving Barracuda, Pompano, and Grouper in residential canals on Pine Island. The fish can barely move. Too bad everyone does not have one of these great underwater lights out of Punta Gorda, Fl..

I will make one promise to all who are thinking of fishing my dock when these fish are in shock. On my oath you will pay a very wet price with my water hose. Think I'm kidding? It will be the second coming of Greenpeace and Japanese boats at war with water hoses.

I'm really not sure how the fish will survive Thurs PM. It is 0302 Thurs morning and the fish can literally hardly move. A true sportsman leaves them alone. Please let's give them a chance to get through this extreme cold.

I greatly encourage everyone to report anyone throwing a cast net or spearing to FWC. Wish I had been news but this test of our fishery will be big news. JB
