Warm water temps means hot fishing!

Capt. Scott Theis

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Still can't believe how mild this winter has been. It's made the fishing a lot easier. The warm temps has been keeping the fish out in the bays. All you need is shrimp and a jighead. Fish the mid and high tides along the shorelines for the redfish and sheepshead. The reds have been between 22"-25". The nearshore wreck fishing has been amazing. The sheepshead are on all the wrecks with nice mangrove snapper, flounder and keeper grouper mixed in. Remember gag grouper is closed till July 1st.

Fort Myers Fishing Forecast:

Fishing should stay good if we stay in this pattern. That means the cobia might be showing up early.

More Fishing Reports:

I specialize in light tackle saltwater fishing in the pristine backbays and nearshore wrecks of Southwest Florida. Whether we're targeting snook, redfish, or trout in the backbays or cobia, permit, shark, grouper, or tarpon on the wrecks. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, i will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience. Kids are always welcomed.
