Birds on the Reef

Capt. Ralph Mayans
September 1, 2023
Haulover Inlet - Saltwater Fishing Report

Aaron gave me a call Sunday in the afternoon, he wanted to do something special for his friend Renee. It was his birthday, and he didn't want no ordinary fishing charter, he wanted the Sea Cross and he was not disappointed. Running out of Haulover at 25 knots, we were able to quickly locate some birds working the reef line. Once I got near the birds, we hooked up a couple skip jacks, and it wasn't long after that that we had a nice mahi-mahi. The rest of the trip was action packed with multiple fish being caught. It was just enough time to get out there - a three-quarter day from 8 to 2, mahi-mahi, wahoo, skip jack and Kingfish. We also caught an undersized amberjack.

"Only on the Sea Cross"

Tight lines and stay safe.
