Fall is Here and Fishing is Heating Up!

Capt. Ralph Mayans
October 9, 2014
Haulover Inlet - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fall bait migration is here and in full swing. With the bait come packs of predators looking for an easy meal. Amazingly, the abundance of bait has even captured the attention of mahi-mahi that are showing up on the reef as shallow as 40 feet.

Other predators chasing the fall mullet run are tarpon, sharks and sailfish. It's possible to target these powerful gamesters right now - with great success. On a recent half-day trip on the Sea Cross, Chris and his party had a great day fishing, with lots of nice bagging size mahi-mahi, wahoo and more!
