Mahi-mahi Madness

Capt. Ralph Mayans
February 23, 2015
Haulover Inlet - Saltwater Fishing Report

Mahi-mahi fishing remains red-hot. During the last few weeks, we've been having catches of 30, 40 and up to 50 pound dolphin, with a lot of 10 pounders in the mix. Anger Tony Batten visiting us from Clearwater, Florida had an awesome day with his friends. Doing a three-quarter day fishing trip aboard the Sea Cross, we were fishing 20 pound fishing outfits and using ballyhoo and bonito strips for bait. We were fishing offshore between 8 to 12 miles, in about 1000 feet of water, underneath birds and floating debris we found the mahi!
