Great inshore action

Capt. Keith Tomlinson
February 20, 2013
Hernando Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

The cold weather made fishing tough for a few days, but the the weather and the fishing quickly heated back up. The cold "blast" we got in this area of the Nature Coast pushed fish back to the shallows near springs, and as the gulf waters warm up they will be back on the move and feeding. Species we have targeted on recent trip include trout, red fish, and pompano. The best bite has been around the high tide. Live shrimp, white jerk baits, and mirro-dines have been producing good numbers of quality fish. We are moving into some great Spring action and now is the time to get on the water and bend a rod. Call Capt. Keith to book your trip!

Good luck out there and tight lines!
