Hernando Beach Florida fishing

Hernando Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hi all…

Just to give you a great fishing report on the Nature Coast would be not so true, the fishing is good but as usual the weather has not cooperated. Since July first the rain and wind has put a damper on a lot of fishing trips. The trips I have done we caught many grouper but not without a lot of work. Anchor problems always happen here in the wind as we have a lot of silt allowing the anchor to drag into the rock area you are trying to fish. If you experience this I suggest a longer anchor chain, this sometimes helps. Cobia, sharks and many other fish was caught on the trips.

Inshore fishing with a fly rod, much to my surprise is great. I try to fish on the rivers that have springs flowing in them. Chasawiska, Homosassa and Crystal River are just a few places I fly fish.
