Insane Fishing Action

Capt. Josh Fritz
November 16, 2015
Hernando Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

November is awesome for fishing. With the cooling of the Gulf waters the inshore bite is off the hook, trout action is great in 1 to 5 feet of water. Target grass bottom with sand holes, kelp grass, oyster bars and creek mouths. Popping corks and Mirrodines 17mr have been the go to rig for my charters. set up wind and tide do long drifts when you catch a decent trout anchor out and fish that area. Incoming tide and first part of the outgoing tide has been the best action. Red fish are moving around a lot, look for large mullet schools the red fish are holding best in the large mullet schools. Points, cuts, mangroves and oyster bars have been the go to areas. Live green backs and 2 to 3 inch pin fish have been the best bait to use, The last two hours of the incoming and first two hours of the outgoing tide for action. Spanish mackerel are all over the place from 3 feet to 30 feet they are everywhere. Use a white soft plastic little john with a1/8 to 1/4 ounce jig head, cast and work the jig at a quick pace. Shallow water grouper fishing is ON FIRE we are catching big gags in 5 to 10 feet on dead bait and plugs. Most of the gags are ranging from 24 to 35 inches.

Book your trip ASAP my calendar fills up fast don't miss out on this insane fishing action.
