Spring Fishing On the Nature coast of Florida

Capt. Frank Bourgeois
May 17, 2013
Hernando Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing off Hernando Beach has brought us to deeper waters when chasing keeper red grouper and reef donkey's better known as Amberjacks. Dead west of the beach is shallow and you can catch lots of short red grouper plus many larger gag grouper of course gag is catch and release. King mackerel are passing by allowing us to catch some.

Inshore waters are producing sharks, gag grouper again catch and release, Spanish mackerel, some tarpon and lots of trout on rock piles using Salt Water Assassins and D.O.A. lures. Tarpon can be caught on fly's if done right.
