Central Indian River Lagoon

Capt. Ron Bielefeld

Indian River Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Ron Bielefeld's Indian River Lagoon fishing report-Sebastian Area

Will this wind ever cease? We have had very few days where the wind has not caused major changes in our fishing plans. But, you have to take what you get and sometimes that was just not going out. We have been out some and the fishing has been fair. Trout, reds, and snook have been active times, but they have had to be very active to catch more than just a few because the wind has made it hard to methodically fish most of my favorite areas. Evenings have been the best when we could find shelter along the east shore. 3D Fingerlings and Rip-Tide Brand soft plastics rigged on a 1/8 oz. jig have been productive when the light has been bright. He have had some great top-water action late in the evenings toward dark. Yo-Zuri Banana boats have been the best producers. 2-3 foot grass flats with bait and calm enough waters to fish have been productive during late evening. Docks have been producing some fish but fishing them has been difficult due to the winds. Let’s hope the winds will subside soon and allow some calm early morning and late night action.

Until next time, Tight-Lines to all.

Sincerely,

Capt. Ron
