Mosquito Lagoon, North Indian River & Banana River

Indian River Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

Indian River Summer!!

I can't begin to tell you how lucky I am to live close enough to the Indian River Lagoon System, to be able to fish it most eveyday.

Today, my fishing partner was my 7 years old son Colton. He really loves fishing (imagine that!) and I try to take him as often as possible.

We started off the morning getting our top water bait (chug bug and super spook) slammmed countless times by Ladyfish and Trout. After a couple of hours of that steady action we decided to look for a Redfish. It didn't take long, as our first stop produced a Fat 12lber that Colton battle to the boat for a quick photo and release.

Back at the dock and eatting lunch at Apple Bees by 11:30pm....not a bad way to start the day!
