Fishing Improves as Water Warms - The gulf is still holding Spanish mackerel. I have been fishing for the Spanish for a couple of hours. Then moving to some structure; I would catch some mangrove snappers for diner.on our last trip we also caught a 20 pound jewfish on 12# test line.

Weather means a lot !!!! - Along with Sailfish and Kingfish,the last few trips we have been catching what we call gaffers. These are Dolphin (Mahi) that are too big to lift into the boat with the rod and real. We gaff these fish and put them in the fish box for safe keeping. more...

Spanish mackerel are thick in the gulf - Sailfish still dominate the offshore. There are lots of kings around with some bigger one showing up. The yellowtails snappers have been eating with some nice 2 to 3 pound fish showing up. Some of the deeper wreaks are producing amber jacks.

Sailfish are here - The offshore fishing has been dominated by sailfish. There are also a good number of kingfish. The yellow tails snappers are biting good.
Spanish mackerel are in the gulf big time. They provide a lot of action on light tackle

sailfish fishing remains strong - The sailfishing remains good. Along with the sails are nice size dolphin and kingfish. The tuna are biting good out at the humps this last week.

DOLPHIN MIXED IN WITH SAILFISH - The sailfishing is good. The fish are chasing ballyhoo in as shallow as 40 feet of water. Along with the sails are nice size dolphin and kingfish. The best way to fish is to slow troll live baits from 80 out to 250 feet of water. Keep an eye out for more...
