Florida Keys backcountry report! 1/28 + 1/29

Capt. Richard Stanczyk
January 29, 2011
Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fished an afternoon half today and a full day yesterday. Got the reds biting good way in the back yesterday off middle cape, as well as some black drum and sheepshead. We ran in the afternoon out in the gulf off long key and caught some mackerels, ladyfish, and trout, as well as a nice 60 lb blacktip on light tackle. Today we just had an afternoon half, but caught plenty of mackerel, some snappers, and a couple small sharks as well! Looks like it'll be nice weather the next couple days, it was gorgeous this afternoon, so you'll know where I'll be!!!
