Islamorada sails, dolphin, tuna, 7 year olds first sailfish

Capt. Bruce Andersen

Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been great down here in islamorada this week. Sailfishing has been very consistent with multiple releases on all of our trips so far this week. We've been catching the sails mostly on live ballyhoo. Some have been chasing bait showers and alot have come slow trolling them especiallly the last few days. The highlight of my Christmas season was taking my 7 year old son Ian out for his first sailfish yesterday afternoon after our charter. Ian did a great job and caught his first sail after about a 15 minute battle. I didn't get a good picture of the sailfish, but did a get a great shot of him with a nice blackfin tuna a little while after the sailfish. Here are some pics of him and the last few trips including a video from wednesday the 26th.
