Islamorada Sea Horse off shore report

Capt. Rick Rodriguez
April 21, 2017
Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Windy for the last seven days however fishing has been outstanding. Yellow Tail Snapper have been cooperating everyday. It has been easy to catch a limit for six people in less than 3 hours. Truly as good as it could be throughout the day. Best baits have been shrimp, ramorah chucks, and strips of ballyhoo.
Futher off shore the tunas have been caught on small in line feather jigs. The Blackfin Tuna's have been ferocious multiple hook up with every pass across the top of the hump. For best results trolling into the current at 240 degrees an back across the hump at 60 degree. You will catch more fish this way and have less altercations with other boats.

Mahi have been consistent in various depths of water. All the boats that have braved the seas lately have been catching them.
