Upper Florida Keys & Islamorada

Capt. Izzy Donatiello

Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Before "CHARLEY," I when out to the reef to do some snapper fishing. It took some time, but the fish came up and were able to catch a couple dozen yellowtails plus a couple Cero mackerel and a 25 pound CUDA. I moved out to 180 feet of water and drifted. We caught a nice King mackerel before the porpoises moved in and shut down the bite.

After the storm, the Dolphin fishing has been very good. Most of the fish have been from 10 to 15 miles out. The humps have some nice Blackfin tuna on them.
