Upper Florida Keys & Islamorada

Capt. Izzy Donatiello

Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Before the storm; tarpon were still around the bridges. Chumming with live baits or dead bait will produce results. In the backcountry, there are still big snappers in the cuts; and trout on the grass flats. A lot of short fish; but some nicer ones mixed in. The dolphin fishing remains spotty. most of the fish are 25 miles out. Not many people fishing for them due; to the prices at the pump. The best bet is snapper fishing on the reef. When the current is right, the fish are going to bite.
