Upper Florida Keys & Islamorada

Capt. Izzy Donatiello

Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

The wind finally stopped and the fishing has been very good. The tarpon have showed up in big numbers and hungry. They are eating mullet and crabs on the drift and dead baits on the bottom. The trout fishing has also been very good. The area around Roscoe key has been hot.

On the reef; the yellowtail fishing has been good with the right conditions. The cero mackerel have been thick. The other day while trolling for cero; we picked up a 30 inch. black grouper on a deep diving plug. The dolphin fishing has been hit and miss. Some days they are only 10 miles out; other day 25 miles.
