-As I've mentioned in many of my daily reports blog reports lately.

In the deep summer, when inshore fishing, we must depart early.

-it's cooler
-low light conditions are best
-AND THE TOP WATER TROUT BITE IS "HOT".

The other summer time thing to do is some "coastal" SHARKIN'. KIDS, love it. Especially (12 year old and above) KIDS that love "shark week" on Discovery channel.

Although Dad may have to pull in the big ones. The thrill is enormous.

Don't forget about my summer time special, 2 hour Kids Trip. For the Little Fisherman, that are too young to do a longer day. Bonding via some fishing. Mom, Dad, or Grandparents and a few under 10 year olds. TWO HOURS of fun!

More Fishing Reports:

Inshore fishing the St. Johns River, and estuaries around Jacksonville, Florida provides year round opportunities for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead to name just a few. Plus, seasonal favorites such as Shark, Tripletail and Pompano. The legendary Mayport Jetties are mile long piles of huge granite boulders that protect the inlet to the St. Johns River from the Atlantic Ocean. Around these jetties is some of the best and most consistent fishing.
