Jacksonville Inshore Fishing Charter Report (Pompano)

Capt. Richard Bloom
December 24, 2021
Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Made our way up sisters creek to fish a few banks known to hold trout in colder weather. First cast we were pleasantly surprised by a nice pompano! Thinking it was a fluke we continued to catch trout after trout mostly 13-14 inches. Then we caught a 2nd pompano! I quickly realized we need to change gears and target these pompano. After trying multiple different presentations and baits, we found the smallest live shrimp in the live well on a 1/4 sheepshead jig head was ticket. We ended up with 8 nice pompano, countless trout, and a few nice mangrove snapper. Fun 4 hrs fishing inshore Jacksonville Florida.
