Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Had great weather....until the weekend. Saturday 4/20 brought rain, cold, and 20 kt. winds. Not a great combo. BIG front came in.

But prior, it was sweet!

Lots of action.

Jacksonville Fishing Forecast:

HEAT.....it's expected, loved by some, disliked by others (ME), makes some people leave hot places to sit on the hot sand in Florida.

Instead, do something. Let's go fishing.

Deep summer? July-August?
-The more avid anglers have the best days. It can be challenging fishing. Casting, working lures, can be a MUST. If you want to catch quality fish such as Trout.

0630 hrs depart...done at noon in the summer.

Inshore fishing the St. Johns River, and estuaries around Jacksonville, Florida provides year round opportunities for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead to name just a few. Plus, seasonal favorites such as Shark, Tripletail and Pompano. The legendary Mayport Jetties are mile long piles of huge granite boulders that protect the inlet to the St. Johns River from the Atlantic Ocean. Around these jetties is some of the best and most consistent fishing.
