Red Snapper Fishing Frenzy

Capt. Chad Starling
April 7, 2018
Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

On Friday, we headed offshore to take what the ocean offered us. We started out fishing for black sea bass with pretty good results. We also played with the butterfly jig manufactured by Reeldiculous Fishing. We were catching a wide variety of crazy species like red snapper, black sea bass, bluefish, spanish mackerel, and even a toadfish! After we caught enough for dinner, it was time for the hot action of red snapper fishing. UNfortunately you can keep any, but they are a ton of fun to catch. Great fighters! Over the course of about an hour the crew released about 40 red snapper. It was fast and furious with a good average size of about 10-12lbs.
