Jupiter Inlet, Hobe Sound & Juno Beach

Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report

Summertime Blues

I have not posted in a while because I was on island time. I was in the bahamas the past 3 weeks and the fishing was alright. Plenty of tuna schools if you are planning to go there. Live bait is recommended for that, although we did get some on small feathers, none on cedar plugs though. Went for blues off the abacos and raised some but heard of plenty blues being caught in the southern bahamas and the boat harbour tournament raised plenty of blues as well a couple weeks ago.

The Northwestern bahamas bottom fishing remains consistent plenty of snapper, but small. Check the weather before booking a fishing trip because that definitely killed fishing plans throughout, besides the so called trustworthy Verados on the boat.

Fishing in Jupiter Inlet?

I heard bad news when I was gone. On Thursday the 6th of July I got a phone call. I heard the Wahoo were going crazy out of Jupiter Inlet. I was to far away to do much about it but I am real pissed I missed those couple days of wahoo bites. The biggest one I heard caught during those couple days was a friend of mine who gaffed a huge 72 pound wahoo. Just remember if your targeting big wahoo they are funny fish, the bigger ones eat smaller bait as the smaller ones eat bigger bait. There was also scattered but grouped weeds between the 400-500 ft line and tons of boats live baiting on it. If its still there is for you to find out. After all is settled with the boat and all is back to normal here I'll be going out one of these next days and hopefully have more local news.
