Jupiter Inlet, Hobe Sound & Juno Beach

Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report

Is it worth it?

With the price of fuel these days i'll start my pages with a (is it worth it) and a yes or no. I would always say yes, but if your trying to put food on the table it wasn't out there trolling wise today. The reef is good though, plenty of mutton snappers. We had one big knockdown most likely a wahoo but there was absolutely no weed patches or color changes. The wind was dead and a flat ocean possibly contributed to the slow fishing. The boneheads were numerous though always getting in the way but the wahoo did come under them. I did not target kingfish but conditions seemed decent for them. Making an opinion on the next couple days or so i say definitely go for the reef because the snapper are out there.

August 6

With mini-season over and lobster season beginning the diving should not be bad. If its not all picked over after miniseason we had some great size and numerous lobsters here although I was in the keys getting my crawfish there I heard about it. I wil definitely be out there come the first days of season to see if any are left.
