Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report
Mixed bag from Palm Beach to Jupiter
It's been a month since my last report and been a month since I got my new boat. Needless to say I ve been busy. I've put 100 hours on the boat already and about 90 hours have been hardcore fishing!
We've caught sailfish, wahoo, dolphin, kingfish, skip jack tuna, bonito, spanish mackerel, grouper, shark, and giant jack crevelle.
Fishing has been sporadic off Jupiter, off the Juno area was a little better and south of Palm Beach, off the Breakers was even better. Fishing mostly out of Jupiter, on some days sea conditions made it tough to make to run to far south.
As most common the sailfish and kingfish have been caught on live bait in 70-90 feet of water and the dolphin and wahoo have caught trolling from 90-200 feet.
Great news is warm clear blue water has pushed in on the beach over the last several days. Spanish sardines are moving in close to the beach so get the sabikis ready. Flying fish were pretty thick in the 100 ft. range.
Have a great easter and passover and get the boat and gear ready, the best fishing is about to bust open.
I'll be out fishing this weekend, see you at the ramp.
