Jupiter & Palm Beach Offshore Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Rob Mazzei
January 23, 2005
Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report

Cooler Temps bring Sailfish

Sailfish are biting in 80-120 feet north of Jupiter. Threadfin herring are the bait of choice and can be caught in 65-85 feet of water east of the Hope Sound Loran Tower. Large false albacore are in the same areas and provide steady action for those waiting for a sailfish to bite. An occasional wahoo or dolphin have shown up as well.

Wreck and reef fishing has been sporatic due to cold bottom temperature. The bite will likely get better as temps increase.
