Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
November 9, 2003
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sailfish make a showing

Friday and Saturday was what I call the beginning, Sailfish finally show up and though it was not like it will be in a couple of weeks, it was good. We started fishing off Miami, Key Biscayne and had no luck. So I fird up the boat and ran more north. Still no luck. So with about an hour and a half left in the afternoon half I ran back to the south. Good Move.

Fishng the kites with Thread fins and flat lines with mullet and pilchards we had the bases covered. We knew it would happen for us. Sure enough the flat line get hit, a

sailfish comes up jumping but before we could enjoy the jump there was one on the middle and short. A little screaming and shouting and we were all hooked up. Unfortunatly we pulled off one, but did get the other two. A couple of Kings and a bonito and that was the afternoon. A lot of action and it will only get better.
