Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
November 19, 2003
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Conditions Improving

The last couple of days went from no current and green water out 2 miles to north current with green water and a blue water edge in 250. Sailfish are around but so scattered it has been tough. We have been getting 2 or so a day but having to work for it. Some nice Kingfish have been taking up time between sailfish bites. We had several fish in the 10 pound class today. On the bottom some mutton snapper continue to supply us with dinner. We have been getting a couple of day and usually at least one is a keeper. The other day we 8 which was really nice.

Some mackerel in hawks channel are also supplying us with action. Bug light and north are good hang outs for the mackerel. I did try the bay the other day with no luck.

Bait has been good one day and slow the next. Bug light and the cut are the best bet.

tight lines
