Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sailfish and More
This weekend Niel was out of town which left me to run on the boat on a weekend. I 'd rather do the weekdays if you did not know. Anyways. I am glad I did.
Fishing in the morning with a slight breeze we found the sailfish located off the Cape. In 120 to 130 the Sailfish were tailing south, and moving fast. With a well full of Live Pilchards and Threadfins we were ready for them. We caught a double and a triple and a few more as the day past by. It was solid action. A few dolphin and kings and things were good. We took a look offshore for dolphin but did not find any. But we are glad we did, cause we did find a White Marlin. The first for me in a year or so. A nice fish in the 75 pound range. The fish was found in 1,000 ft of water. Total for the Saturday trip 7 sailfish 1 white marlin, and some by catch. Sunday started off slow with us missing 4 Sailfish before catching any. But the rust was off and we went to work. Fishing the same area we found 7 sailfish and some bonito's. With time almost gone we dicided to bend the big rod. We brought out the 80 international and the biggest Bonito we had. Dropped it down in 300 ft and waited. About 15 minutes later we were doing battle. An hour later the fish was in the boat. A 275 pound Hammer Head shark. For the Office of our customers. Days Total 7 Sailfish, 1 Hammerhead shark
some bonito's. And ton;s of action.
