Key Largo - Saltwater Fishing Report

WOW! It has gotten busy down here in Key Largo. If you plan on getting out, PLEASE book your trip early, do not get left at the dock while everyone else heads out back.
The fishing has been pretty consistent. Snook fishing continues to be extremely reliable. If you find live bait then you stand a great chance at hooking up with one of these Linesider and testing your drag. My clients have been amazed at how aggressive you have to be with these fish as they do all they can to get you wrapped up in Mangrove roots. The afternoon trips have been most successful with these weary fish. When the traffic disappears they come out and play.

The Trout bite has picked up and the fish are healthy. We had 2 trips in a row that produced nice white filets for dinner. We had our best luck on 3.5" D.O.A. Paddle Tail Swim Baits.
The redfish bite slowed up while we had these cooler temperatures. They made there way into the skinny waters where they sit in sand whole to warm up in the sun. This should pick back up as they weather goes back to normal patterns.
If you plan on heading down, call soon @ 407-808-0405 or visit www.ankledeepadventures.com
Look forward to hearing from you,
