Key Largo Fishing Report 3/20/13 Backcountry Fishing
Key largo Backcountry fishing in the eastern bay in the past week has been very good despite the cold front that rolled in early this month. The first day of March we started getting north winds that persisted for almost 2 weeks. Water temps dropped and fish moved in to deeper spots in the bay and creeks. Lots of big trout around

with redfish,

snapper, ladyfish and big jacks as well.

Fish are in good numbers.

Snook fishing slowed down as many fish that where in the open bay moved to the interior water to weather the cold front. Now with water temps back up we should start to see this bite pick back up. Some smaller tarpon closer to home and more will be on the way with the next full moon. Backcountry Fishing out of Key Largo provides steady action on light spinning gear year round.
