Key Largo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Out on the reef since my last report fishing is still fast action with lots of species. In the past 2 weeks we have boated snappers including lanes, mangroves, yellowtails and muttons.

Grouper (closed but fun to catch) both reds and blacks.

Lots of nice hogfish and big porgies.Macks are around mostly Spanish up to 8 lbs. Big bar Jacks, blue runners, ambers and crevells. In the past two days we found several bonefish

out in the deeper water, well deep for bonefish anyway. Blacktip Shark on most trips and a few lemons mixed in. Every spot we set up on we get ballyhoo in our chum line and baiting them live and cut along with shrimp has all been working well. Easy water conditions inside the outer reef line and lots of nice fish on light tackle this has been a fun trip for novice and expert anglers.
