Key Largo - Saltwater Fishing Report
Got out on reef 4 times this week and it is on track as expected. On all trips we were able to fish inside(where its calmer) in about 15 to 20 feet of water just a few miles out.Bite was fast with yellowtails, lanes, bluefish, assorted jacks, porgys, spanish macks, hogfish, lemmon shark
and some nice size mutton snapper
.Live ballyhoo were in the chum line and we did hook up fishing them, but cut baits on the bottom got the job done on the better fish. This has been the best I have seen the shallow rocks as of yet this year and should get better in the next few months as the cold fronts push threw. With short travle time lots of action and variety this is a great half day trip.
tight lines capt.Bob...........
