We had some Fantastic Fishing in February

Capt. Lenny Leonard
February 27, 2020
Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

We had some fun this past week chasing permit and bonefish on the nearby flats off Key West.

Perhaps the number of bonefish caught was exponentially higher than permit caught. Those anglers who fish the flats understand this lopsided number. The permit are by far the most challenging fish to catch on the flats. They have amazing eye sight, acute awareness and to be honest they rarely give you three chances to make the perfect cast.

I would expect the flats fishing to keep getting better into the month of March - unless of course the weather man has different plans.

Go fish!
