Summer nearly over, Fall cool down is welcome!

Capt. Dexter Simmons

Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

The Fishing Report. Sept. 17, 2010. Every so often there is a new product introduced to me to enhance my appreciation

of the angling that takes place here in the fabulous Florida Keys. An artist by the name of Jerry Kirby showed me his Western Metal

Art and I now have a piece proudly hanging on the door to my fly tying office! The photo of this Tarpon

metal art above captures only partially the stunning reality of this piece. It is truly a magnificent work of art that I am proud to own! Do

yourself a favor and check out more of the Torchcraft western metal art at the Torchcraft web site Torchcraft Western Metal ArtSummer has been really good for

early morning Tarpon, fair for Bonefish and Permit and excellent for catching up with family and friends! As we head toward October

and the fall season, we are anxious to tackle more Bonefish and Permit along with the resident Tarpon here in the Keys

waters.Next year's Tarpon season is filling up fast, so be sure to email or call Capt. Dexter ASAP to get your

spot. Here is a nice summer tailing Bonefish on the Key West flats.

Tarpon Season, 2010 will go down as one of the best for the worm hatch, IF YOU WERE IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT

TIME! Early season was good, middle season was better, late season was also good, if you could get them to eat! This is

Grand Slam season here in the Keys, so if we can coax you away from the Tarpon bite, then the Permit and Bonefish are also

available. Here is a 24 pound Permit and a 6 pound Bonefish taken by Atlanta Braves star Tim Hudson. Tim and his wife Kim

celebrated their 10th anniversary here in the Keys. Good luck to them, they are a great couple!

Grand Slam fishing is available during this Spring and Summer and early Fall seasons, so if you are still after that elusive first

Permit or Tarpon or Bonefish, now is the time! Call me and let's set up your trip! Toll Free: 877-228-8497, or 305-745-3304.
