August Dog Days

Capt. Pete Matson
August 15, 2010
Kissimmee Chain - Freshwater Fishing Report

8/14/10

Dog days of summer are here. Water temperatures dropping a little really haven't improved the fishing much. You need to fish very early in the morning or at night to catch decent size fish. Top water devils horse and Sam's prop baits worked slow on the outside of Kissimmee grass before the sun gets up. Plastic worms pitched and flipped as the sun gets up higher and by noon the bite is dead. If you find scoolers a chrome and black rattle trap will work. One day they will hit shiners and the next day they won't. Find running water when we get a good shower the evening before. Lake Toho and Lake Kissimmee are the best on the chain still.

Great Fishing!
