Okeechobee Bass Fishing on Fire!

Capt. Michael Shellen
October 31, 2010
Lake Okeechobee - Freshwater Fishing Report

Bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is red hot! Huge numbers of Bass are being caught by anglers daily. Bass over 8 pounds are being reported daily. For huge numbers of bass use artificial baits, skinny dippers, flukes, top water baits, horny toad and spinner baits are all accounting for great bass action along the outside grass lines.

The larger bass are falling prey to a big wild shiner. My customers have caught numerous big Bass in the last few weeks alone. The big fish have moved shallow to feed before spawning and some of them are full of roe already, meaning we will have some bass spawning in November around the moon phases. If you have never been to Lake Okeechobee before you are missing one of the truly best bites ever, come see for yourself!
