Fall Redfish and Snook

Capt. Matt Hoover
October 19, 2012
Marco Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been excellent and consistent so far. Live bait, jigs, soft plastics, and flies are all taking their fair share this past week.
Snook, redfish, and trout have all been cooperating. I have mainly been using live bait under a popping cork this week. Small to medium snook have been on the current side of points of interest and downed bushes.

Redfish have been hanging out in similar places as well as along oyster bars and hard bottom points. The redfish have been the real stars with most fish in the slot size.

It is not uncommon to catch double digit numbers. I expect the unbridled action to continue throughout the fall and into winter. Call me for a date today.

More Fishing Reports:

Light Tackle Spinfishing, live bait, artificial and flyfishing. I do it all. Fish for snook, redfish, trout and tarpon in the Marco Island, ten thousand islands and Everglades.
